Main current subjects of research :
At the crossroads of the sociology of science and the sociology of medicine, my work focuses on the introduction of genetic tools and techniques into the clinical practices. Main thema :
- biomedical innovation
- biology/clinic interface in biomedicine
- new models of collaboration and transformation of clinical practices; development of 'bioclinical collectives' associating clinicians and researchers and their role in the performance of clinical work ( judgment and decision-making; research/clinic interface)
- introduction of genetic and genomic tests into the clinic
I am presently working on the development and adoption of genomic signatures for breast cancer into the oncology practices, including the investigation of large scale cancer clinical trials for genomic signatures and the analysis of the new models of collaboration between clinicians, researchers, industry on which they rely.
