ELIPPSE cohorts, two regional cohorts of breast cancer women less than 41 years old (ELIPPSE 40, n=500 women) and 65 years old and more (ELIPPSE 65, n=800). End of enrolment: december 2010.
The cohort of young survivors particularly focus on return to work, access to bank loans and insurances, consequences of cancer disease on social status, family life, sexual life and body image, and impact of cancer on women’s reproductive choices. Questionnaires for elderly women particularly investigate the weight of co-morbidities compared with breast cancer, the perception of body image, the impact of cancer disease and treatments side effects on autonomy, the women’s expectations regarding medical care, and the long term evolution of adequacy between support and needs.
